Congressman Bean Opposes Ukraine Supplemental
April 20, 2024
WASHINGTON—Today, U.S. Congressman Aaron Bean (FL-04) released the following statement after the House of Representatives voted 311-112 to pass a $61 billion supplemental funding package for Ukraine:
“This supplemental package fails to address the number one crisis facing our nation—the invasion happening along our southern border. We have no business spending billions of taxpayer dollars to protect Ukraine’s border before securing our own. It’s why I submitted an amendment alongside Representative Cammack to eliminate all non-military funding in this bill. I firmly believe Putin is a threat and must be dealt with, but not at the expense of the safety of the American people.”
