Congressman Bean Announces Service Academy Nominations for 2025

WASHINGTON— On Thursday, March 6, U.S. Congressman Aaron Bean (FL-04) announced his 2025 U.S. Service Academy nominations for Florida’s Fourth Congressional District during a special ceremony at FSCJ Cecil Field in Jacksonville. 

Following a rigorous interview and selection process, students were recommended by a committee of diverse Northeast Floridians that included military leaders and community members. Based on the committee’s recommendations, Congressman Bean officially nominated 19 students who met the stringent academic and physical requirements of the Military Service Academies. 

“It is an honor to nominate these young men and women to our nation’s esteemed military service academies. Their dedication to leadership, commitment to service, and duty to country is inspiring and represents the very best of the next generation,” said Congressman Bean.

During the event, Congressman Bean nominated the following students to the U.S. Military Academy (West Point), the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and the U.S. Air Force Academy:

BACKGROUND

Students who received a nomination to a U.S. Service Academy must also receive an offer of admission into an academy. If admitted, they will be extended the distinct honor of earning a four-year university education with the commitment of serving in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.
