Bean Votes to End Partial Government Shutdown

February 3, 2026

WASHINGTON—U.S. Congressman Aaron Bean (FL-04) released the following statement after the House voted 217-214 to end the partial government shutdown and restore full operations to the federal government.

“Today, the House passed a bill to end the partial government shutdown caused by Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats. This critical legislation provides a well-earned pay raise for our troops, advances lifesaving biomedical research, invests in our air traffic controllers, and deploys new technologies to keep our skies safe. The package also includes a two-week continuing resolution for the Department of Homeland Security to give Congress time to negotiate a final spending bill. House Republicans will keep fighting for the American people, defending our military and first responders, and advancing America first policies.”
