Bean Supports Troops, Securing the Homeland

September 11, 2025

WASHINGTON—U.S. Congressman Aaron Bean (FL-04) released the following statement after voting in support of H.R. 3838, the Streamlining Procurement for Effective Execution and Delivery and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026 (NDAA)

Upon House passage, Congressman Bean said, “I voted to safeguard America’s future, support our great warfighters, and secure our nation’s national security.

This year’s NDAA delivers on every front. It invests in cutting-edge technologies, reinforces our nuclear deterrence, secures our southern border, and boosts military readiness to confront growing threats. It puts our warfighters ahead of politics, provides a 3.8% pay raise for all service members, and saves taxpayers over $20 billion thanks to cost-cutting initiatives led by DOGE.

I will always defend our national interests—because the American people deserve a military that answers to one creed: America First.”

BACKGROUND

The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is legislation that Congress passes each year to make changes to the policies and organization of the U.S. Department of War and outlines how defense funding will be allocated.

The FY26 NDAA includes a bold, comprehensive blueprint for American defense, including:

  • Advancing President Trump’s Peace Through Strength agenda
  • Enhancing quality of life for our service members and their families
  • Deterring Chinese aggression and strategic threats
  • Reinforcing the principle that border security is national security
  • Reforming acquisitions to maximize efficiency and accountability
  • Building ready, capable, fighting forces
  • Implementing meaningful budget reforms across the Pentagon
  • Investing in innovation and next-generation technologies
  • Defending key allies like Israel
  • Countering adversaries around the globe
  • Restoring the warrior ethos across our ranks
  • Strengthening strategic deterrence, missile defense, and space-based capabilities
