Bean Receives an A+ for His Pro-Life Stance in the House

January 22, 2026

WASHINGTON—U.S. Congressman Aaron Bean (FL-04) has earned an “A+” rating on the latest Susan B. Anthony List (SBA) National Pro-Life Scorecard, a tool for holding members of Congress accountable for their legislative records on life and highlighting leadership in the fight to protect unborn children and their mothers.

“The right to life is one of our nation's founding principles, and I’m proud to help protect the most vulnerable in our society. I’m grateful for the SBA List and will continue to be a strong voice for the voiceless in the House,” said Congressman Bean.

“Rep. Bean has voted consistently to protect the lives of the unborn and to stop forced taxpayer funding of abortion. This includes delivering the largest pro-life legislative victory in two decades by defunding Big Abortion businesses, like Planned Parenthood, of Medicaid dollars for one year through the reconciliation bill H.R.1. Rep. Bean also stood strong against attempts to further subsidize plans that cover elective abortion,” said Jamie Dangers, Director of Federal Affairs, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America.

BACKGROUND

During the 119th Congress, Bean voted in favor of H.R. 21, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, to ensure that infants who survive an attempted abortion receive the same care as any other newborn. He also supported legislation to block taxpayer funding of abortion and opposed efforts to expand taxpayer-funded coverage through Obamacare without critical Hyde protection.

Also, in 2025, Bean co-led a letter to the Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Martin Makary and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy to prevent the expansion of chemical abortion drugs.
